Orbits is a model solar system that I threw together while waiting for my clothes to dry.

This little prototype was something I hammered out in about an hour and a half because I was bored at the laundromat. The main goal of this project was an excuse for a rematch with the floating camera that I failed at in the Kaiju Prototype. Overall I am quite happy with how it turned out for such a short time.

I looked up the sizes of the planets in the solar system and compared them to the size of the sun, and set their sizes accordingly to the scale of the model sun, which has a scale set to 1. All planets are to scale, granted that the data I was finding was reliable. Finding the data was a bit tricky sometimes since some planets had exact measurements while others had estimations. I did play around with scaling the distances between the planets, but doing so made it practically impossible to find them. So I ended up evenly distancing them from each other. Each planet's orbit time is to scale as well.
